This special concert program consists of two Slovakian musicians, Lubos
Bena and Bonzo Radvanyi celebrating the sounds of resophonic guitars.
Their repertoire consists of American Roots standards as well as interpretations
from the Slovak language. Owing to the richness and delivery of this repertoire
is that Lubos Bena has traveled several times through the Mississippi Delta
capturing the feel of the music and Peter "Bonzo"Radvanyi has co-founded the
Dobrofestival in western Slovakia's Tnrava since 1992.
Both musicians have
performed to fascinated audiances in Europe, America and Asia. This duo performs
with natural rhythm, without any forced mannerisms or affections, a with perfect
timing. A true celebration of John Dopyera's invention in 1925, the Resophonic
guitar. |
